It’s with mixed emotions that Activo announces the departure of Alex Thompson, our respected Director of Telus Business Relations. Alex is moving on to the next chapter of his life and will be retiring on October 28th, 2022.
I’m proud to say that I have known Alex for over 35 years. I first met Alex when he worked at Telecommunication Terminal Systems (TTS) and became one of my largest customers at my previous company. I learned many of my project management & operational skills from working alongside Alex.
Alex Thompson is a true gentleman. He is a genuinely kind individual that understands business, is a phenomenal leader, and is a fantastic team player. Alex has been a natural fit in his role and is very well respected by his staff, peers, and customers. I, as well as many others, will certainly feel a loss with Alex not being on the team, not only because he’s so good at what he does, but also because he is a friend.
As much as we all wish Alex were staying; we are also excited for him.
Alex, from the bottom of my heart to you and your family, I want to say thank you and wish you well. You’ll be sorely missed amongst our team. I know you’ll have plenty of exciting things to look forward to and have lots of adventures ahead in your retirement.
